What's the most frustrating game you play?

hard stuck in D5 in SF6, im ticking Master ranks gooch for months now only to be denied every time i get close by a barage of Lukes and Kens.

Maybe I suck at gaming but A Plague Tale: Requiem frustrated me to the point of uninstalling it. Too old to be repeating tasks over and over again.

Anything with platforming. I suck so bad at that shit. I remember buying Super Meat Boy because I saw someone speedrunning the game and it looked hella fun. Lol I lasted 5 minutes maybe.

I recently stopped playing the Texas Chainsaw Massacre game after I realized it just wasn't fun anymore. It's an asymm, so naturally life is easier if you play as a killer, but holy shit -- the playerbase of the killers does NOTHING but bitch online at the devs, so they have made it impossibly frustrating to play as a victim due to the constant nerfs. It is supposed to be a stealth game if you are a victim, but the only way to actually fucking escape is to rush as quickly as possible to the exits and hope everyone is doing the same so the killers are too distracted to get you. It's just luck and hoping the killers suck. Also, the netcode and matchmaking is some of the worst I have seen in a very long time. Don't waste your money
Don't ever play DBD, its even worse. All the Devs are survivor mains, so they make maps and perks better and better for survivors while encouraging 4 man squads, while killers are basically told 'git gud scrubs' despite having most of the game literally rigged to make your time as miserable as possible.

DBD is actually what pushed me to play TCM hahaha. I guess it's just a genre that hasn't been figured out yet

I completely agree and I was someone that was super hyped for this. The online community for this game is terrible and they really helped speed up the burial of this game as they whined to the devs who often who caved for the wrong things to fix in favor of nitpick fixes.

Evil Dead had it down decently but that game died off super quick, the Killer Klowns from Space game looks interesting so maybe they get it right. I don't know that it'll hold a long term community though. DBD seems to have that cornered and people play the new games and then go back to DBD.

Undisputed right now. broken mess with potential

and the fact that I have to specify it's the boxing game every time I mention it

The Adventures of Bayou Billy.

Fucking brutal.

My father came home with it randomly one day, and me an my bros were pretty excited.....until we played the impossible thing.

Saints Row 1

Fuck that piece of shit. Everything is an escort mission with a time limit and shitty self-destructive AI and fragile vehicles.

In before git gud but...

Not sure if anyone mentioned Rocket League. It's a fun game but when you play against sweats who smurf or get terrible lag and it feels like the ping isn so bad you are a second behind in the play it's a very frustrating experience.

Surprised nobody has said league of legends. Holy shit that community sucks. If you’ve played it you just know.

People are ruthless in MOBA's. Once had someone tell me to go back to playing bots. I could understand if it was like a ranked mode but just a casual matchup?

I've found that most "E-sports" games, have embarrassingly delusional communities, who think they're all pro gamers, and the people that are just playing for fun, are getting in the way of their "professional goals".

I love trolling them, though.

"'Rocket League'...hmm, casual or competitive mode? Definitely competitive mode."

A few moments later...

"Why are you playing competitive?!?! You suck! I always get stuck with shitty team mates! Such bullshit! Kill yourself!"

...

"Great Save!"

LOL

Agreed some people take this shit so seriously. I've had buddies who will make a throw away account because they don't want to lose their precious rank playing with trash friends. Like who gives a shit?

I play the most frustrating game of all: League of Legends

Donkey Kong Tropical freeze. It's so needlessly difficult it makes you wonder who the target audience really is.

I think I forget that as you age, you lose that flicker of autism you used to have when you were a kid making you good at video games. Perhaps I've lost "it" and that's why?

Either way, it's known to be a bitch of a game to beat.

It's one of the reasons why I don't really play competitive games anymore. I have zero tolerance for rudeness.

I used to play a lot of Left 4 Dead 2 versus, and as soon as someone started up on me, I'd instantly look for ways to suicide my character and then quit.

The most frustrating game I’ve ever played was the PC port of the original NES Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game. The original game itself was already notorious due to the infamous water level where you have to defuse the bombs at the dam and you have to navigate the seaweed that can electrocute you.

But what made the PC port even worse was that it was literally broken and could not be beaten. It had an impossible jump on the PC port that shouldn’t have been as wide as it was. My older brothers and I weren’t aware of this “bug” and spent years trying to figure out how to pass the jump and wondering what we were doing wrong or missing. Fucking piece of crap. So much frustration and wasted time and energy.
