No one ever said anything about him having bad footwork
No one ever said anything about him having bad footwork
Cains punching accuracy was great
I thought Overreem was always doing heavy knees to the body? I have to go revisit his highlights.Really? he actually landed some nice jabs and cut Overeem, Overeems eyebrow was pretty bad there, few leg kicks to start off. I think it was that clinch where Overeem hit him in the recent surgery that did Brock in, Overeem went right for the stomach with those knees, hey no complaints its a fight, you have to attack any vulnerability.
Again I think the main positive would be he didnt cave mentally when the punishment started. He looked like crap, Overeem had no respect for his hands.
this. his striking was no worse than any number of wrestling or BJJ heavy fighters. but he definitely was not used to getting hit, and didn't like it.It's not that Brock can't strike, it's that he can't take shots.
He did show incredible bjj by tapping Cain with almost half locked kimura. If that isnt skill I dont know what isThat's because the F5 is banned in the UFC
Brock had Ronda Rousey-esque striking technique.
Yeah, he had good reflexes and a nice straight right. But Brock was not the same after the Carwin fight. We know Brock is limited, but that dude had power and wrestling. Definitely not a bad HW champ in UFC's history
Plus he made Heath Herring do the barrel roll
Also dropped Randy with a nice right to set up his finishing move, the Donkey Kong ground punches
When Brock showed he had no standup
