Seems like all the big fighters are British.

I know America has Wilder but it seems Matchroom and Eddie run most of the game now.

When did you decide to be a cunt? Much more pertinent question.

Somewhere between never and never fucking ever.

Actually the champions are from countries all over the world. But boxing in general in the UK brings out alot of fans.

A better question is when did the British public become so undiscerning.

The British created mordern boxing as it stands today.

So you could say british boxing took over the world not long after it was created.

WBC:

HW dominated by USA, before flicking hands and eventually Wilder at present.
CW. Mixed up by all nations, with Cubans leading the way.
LHW. Americans dominated over years, with a Canadian now.
SMW. Britain leading over history, an American now.
MW. American's, mostly. GGG keeps that at bay for now.
SWW. American's mostly and still presently.
WW. Same as above.
SLW. American's by numbers and most recently.
LW. American's aren't seen so much, presumably because they are generally obese. Cuba. Mexico. South America...
SFW. Cue, Japan and Mexico. America, still on the Big Macs.
FW. Mexico. Calm down Mexico. Share some of the titles with the rest of the world. Japan doing well here too.
SBW. Same story.
BW. South America and Asia.
S(fly)W. Japan. Thailand. Some Mexicans.
FlyW. Asia really kicking ass here. The little fellas showing their mettle.
LightFlyW. Dang. Must be a family of even tinier Mexicans. Back at it here!
Ah! Minimum weight. Thailand. Japan. Mexico.

WBA:

HW. Americans from beginning to late 90's. Then it was passed around a few Europeans. Haye, Fury, Joshua of note.
CW. Americans no more than others, but mostly a pass around the world.
LHW. Again, where is America? Dominated the 80s, then it was passed around the world.
SMW. American's in the 90s. Andre Ward the only of note from recent. Groves, Froch, Calzaghe or British note.
MW. A real pass around. Hagler the most well known for USA and Hopkins. One measly defence for British.
SWW. A real mix again but American's by numbers. Argentinian, Vasquez the real badass here.
WW. Yes, for WBA there are a lot of American's here. Jose Cueves is the real badass here, for Mexico.
Remaining classes, as above for the WBC.

And both combined above, for both IBO and WBO make for the same story.

However...

Current champs

HW

USA Wilder. WBC.
GB Joshua.WBA. IBF. WBO.

CW

No Brit. No Yank.

LHW.

No Brit. No Yank.

SMW.

GB Groves. WBA.
USA Benavidez. WBC.
GB Degale. IBF.

MW.

GB Saunders. WBO.

LMW.

USA all 4 belts.

WW.

USA 2/4

LWW.

and blah blah blah... I cba writing any more.

But overall, American's by numbers.
I love British boxing. We have a decent stint now with HW guys. USA has nothing but Wilder and we'll hopefully find out soon. We have outstanding fans who fill big stadiums and the sport is loved here.
However, we aren't taking over the world, by a long shot.
Neither though, are the American's.

Mexico is by far the most superior boxing nation, by history and current fighters.

I dont think we are. But given population we produce fucking great fighters.

It's always nice to rub stuff like this in to our American counterparts seeing as they've had it so good for so long.

Boxing seems a lot more popular in the UK at the moment. Also one thing I've realized is British boxers tend to support their countryman no matter what. The US seems divided with Mexicans americans supporting mexican boxers, black americans supporting black boxers and so on.

Black American boxers who throughout history have dominated the sport are less appreciated now days. Floyd had to start acting like an asshole before he became a star. Either that or you have to be some type of monster like Mike Tyson. Seems like a lot of white american boxing fans choose to support Eastern Europeans like GGG, Kovalev and Lomachneko over their own countryman based off race. NOT ALL but many. If Crawford for example was British I bet he'd be a lot more popular.

British people just like to get drunk. The proof is that they show up to watch unwhatchable soccer matches as well. FAT, DRUNK, BAD TEETH. That about sums the Brits up know doesn't it, M8 ??

Britain did not have the homegrown black population like America does so it took longer to build that population through immigration.

american have the most major title holders now, generally because they are also much much larger than any other country.

japan, mexico, uk are a close 2nd, interchangeable based on each year

those are really the top 4 powerhouse boxing nations in the world.

True dat. We are now also focused on the Muslim contingent. We need more prince naseems.

This is what our immigration policies are mainly focused on.

Your guys aren't selling out 90,000 football stadiums.

Seems we have 3 huge fights a year now.
