Where does Leon rank all time at WW? Usman, Gsp, Woodley, Hughes, Lawler, Penn.

GSP did beat Hughes twice and Hughes is the second ranked mw champion...
todays hughes wont even be top 10
i would be surprised if hes even top 20

thats shows you how harder the competition it is today

usman is lightyears in terms of skills against hughes

Burns is a fine win, but the Masvidal wins don’t mean much at all to me. Mas was always a better LW than WW, was a short-notice replacement the first time he fought Usman which he otherwise wasn’t in line for, and somehow his being short notice was used as a justification for a rematch lol.

I’d put Leon towards the bottom of my all time WW top 10, if he’s there at all.
Masvidal is a better striker than Usman. Usman showed a great jab and great improvement in his boxing. This proves he was not out of his prime he was still learning and improving.

Leon beat a killer in Usman.

I disagree, Hughes has a better overall grappling game than Usman. That being said I would still pick Usman to win by keeping it on the feet.

Leon can definitely enter top 5 soon but my list weights longevity and assumes all active fighters retire with their current resume today. Penn and RDA I rank at lightweight, but Penn would be behind Hughes and RDA would be behind Lawler.

Are you insane? Usman would outgrapple Hughes into oblivion.

Hughes is too high, Hendrix is too low, Sherk is too low, no Penn?

As fighters, Usman and Leon are above anyone else.

It's Usman, then Leon, then everything else.

Wonderboy above Leon?

I rank Penn at lightweight but if he's on the list he's #3 above Usman. I always rank active fighters all time as if they will retire today to avoid recency bias or projecting what I think they will do in future. So Usman could still move up the list with more wins. I don't see how you could have Hughes below #3 at the worst.

Lol

Wonderboy above Leon?
Yes, Wonderboy KO'ed Hendricks and Robert Whittaker. He also beat Rory McDonald, Kevin Holland, Geoff Neal, Jake Elllenberger, Jorge Masvidal, Vicente Luque. He was arguably robbed against Darren Till.

He also had two close fights with Woodley. The 2nd fight especially could have gone to Wonderboy and he could have been champ.

Leon has a few good wins but most of his best wins are guys past their prime. WB has a better resume. I also think skill for skill and prime for prime I think Wonderboy would kick Leon's ass all around the cage.
