Which place has been the worst you've been to?

This will come as a surprise, but I say Costa Rica.

It is a pristine country, so safe, economically prosperous for a small central Murican nation, and politically stable. The nature is beautiful. The people a beautiful too.

And that is it. It sucks ass. No excitement at all. It is so boring. The hookers are boring, the night life is almost non existent. I drove to San Jose looking for action, did not find any. There only sport is soccer, and no one was playing. Nobody is in the casinos. There are like no nice restaurants in San Jose.

And San Jose is not just it. There are even more boring towns like Liberia, Jaco Beach, Puntarenas. It is just people and the occasional tourist. Everything closes early, and they never get any customers anyways. There is plenty of sexy babes with nothing to do. It is a shame.

It is literally a living hell. And I am not that exciting of a person myself, and I was bored out of my mind there. Will never go back.

That sounds terrible man , glad you were able to pull through , seeing how it was " literally a living hell"

New laredo Mexico is probably the shittiest place ive visited , followed closely by Newark New Jersey.

I've been to Belgium. Went to Brugges first... was lovely. Like a little fantasy land.

Then I trained it to Brussels... my God what an abomination. I took a wrong turn and was walking through what I guess was little Africa, which was obviously the low income area, and I was the ONLY white person there.

When I got to other areas it was better (not great, but better). One thing that gave me a mind fuck that in my directionless wanders I came across a mammoth very old buidling that was a complete architectural marvel. I would have expected tourists all over the place taking photos and checking it out but there was virtually zero life in sight. I still don't know what that building was.

Brussels is a shithole,no two ways about it. hahaha, there are some decent parts i guess, but man.

Anywhere more than 3 miles from the intercoastal in Miami; little haiti, little cuba, little somalia ,etc.....
Almost every ex steel town in Pa-ambridge, rochester, freedom, beaver falls, monaca, midland, new castle.

Fallujah, Iraq was a shit hole in 07. We did humanitarian aid and governance assistance in the for a year. I have never seen poverty or human suffering on the scale again. It was absolutely horrid.

Severin, Romania was also a shithole in 2002. Half finished apartment complexes from the Soviet era filled with gypsy children chain smoking Marlboro Reds trying to pick pocket every foreigner that they met. Their parents were off stealing cars in Italy most likely according to our hosts. There was a gypsy camp made of sheet metal shacks on the north end of town. Most of the children under 4 just ran around naked. Played soccer with some kids and got smoked. The packs of wild dogs growling at everyone was interesting to see. Herculane, Romania was beautiful when we got on the trails and visited the hot springs.

Juarez and its murican cousin, El Paso.

Santo Domingo except for the ridiculously hot women, and half of them were prostitutes.

I tried to find something redeeming about Cheyenne, but only came up with the surrounding mountains.

There's no Aloha left on the islands. I used to live there.
I have friends that were out there from 2004 to 2007 doing construction. They made large "donations" to the local inspector's luau fund every year. If they didn't they seemed to do really shoddy work on all of their projects and had to redo a lot them. The one loved to go spear fishing and had to give up a portion his fish to the natives on the beach.

I visited Springfield, Mass. one time and felt like I needed a shower after. Which is saying something, as I grew up in one of the most ghetto cities in CT.

There's a lot of animosity even between the locals. They don't appreciate the military people either.

I have good friend that was with 3rd Marines. He was 5'8" and 150lbs when he got to the island. He got his ass beat by a few Samoans.

My parents still live there so I go there a lot. Lot of the Polynesians stick to their own. I have friends of every race, creed and color. Good people are good no matter what.

One of the guys that worked construction made some good friends with the natives. They vouched for him at some cock fights and really good spear fishing spots while he was out there.
