His Pancrase days are what made me become obsessed with MMA. I'm old.

Back in the day I used to spend a fortune on his instructional Dvds, and books... I even own the "cojones" t shirt.

The man was the scariest striker I've ever seen apart from maybe Igor, and he adapted to the ground so quickly... if a 19 year old Bas Rutten walked into a gym tomorrow he would be champ within a few years. He was absolutely electric.

And he did beat Randleman.
