Who deserves the title shot less? Yoel or Aldo

In Yoel's case, at least it was made clear that Costa was next in line for the title shot and Yoel's only getting it cause Costa's injured. With Costa out, it makes some sense that Yoel would be next in line as he lost a close decision to him in his last fight (and lost a super close decision to the champ in his previously fight, which a lot of people thought he should have won). And there really aren't many other MW's deserving of the TS, other than Cannonier who doesn't really have any top wins. The optics don't look very good coming off two losses., but when you consider all the factors, it isn't so bad. Deserve rating - 6/10

For Aldo, he lost a very close decision to Marlon (which a lot of people thought he won) in his BW debut. The problem here is that there a bunch of other top BW contenders who are healthy and have proven themselves (Aljo, Sandhagen, Yan, Marlon). It's extremely tough to objectively make a case for Aldo deserving a shot at the BW title. But he's an all-time great and that certainly plays a part in it. Deserve rating - 3/10

Another thing is this. Undoubtedly Yan vs Sterling for number one contenderships makes sense they both are 1 win away from a title shot but.....................................
If Jose beats Henry it creates a log jam since you can say "well Marlon just beat Aldo he should just fight Aldo again" and that will leave the Yan/Sterling winner having to take yet another fight. I look to see Marlon vs Sandhagen in the meantime.
 
Aldo because there are multiple more deserving contenders. Romero is a replacement..

Well, Yoel has won fights in the division he's fighting for a belt in, but Aldo is one of like five fighters ever that has a claim to the title of GOAT, so ....I don't know.
 
To people saying yan deserves it.. how the fuck does beating faber at this stage better than an arguable win over the number one contender?

Let's see Romero's last official win at 185 was in 2016.
And there is at least one top 5 middleweight in Cannonier that is on a win streak of some merit.

Or Aldo, who has only fought in the 135 division once and lost, as far as official records go, and is currently on a two fight skid. Plus there are at least 3 other fighters in the division that have earned a title shot currently ranked higher than Aldo, that are all on significant win streaks without having fought Cejudo.

We need a "neither" option.

Yan is undefeated in the promotion, 6 fight win streak in UFC, with wins over the #8 and #12 ranked fighters in the division. And they aren't arguable wins, he won, Jose lost.

Aldo is a legend and is the current FW GOAT.
he is getting nothing more than what every top fighter got when moving down a WC.
His fight with Marlon was indeed close, and many think it was contradictory.

Add in the fact that this was the champ calling out Aldo, and you have to then compare apples to apples... that means you should go back in time and see that if a retired Hendo got a title shot against Bisping, then Aldo is 1000000000 times more deserving of a title shot.

That's without even having to mention the fact that while Yoel's loss to Whittaker was indeed close, you fail to mention that Whittaker fought him with a broken hand and still won a close decision.

If Aldo would have lost a close decision with a one-handed Marlon, then you might have a case.... that is, if Aldo would have been coming off two losses at BW, which he did not.
Add to the fact that Marlon LOST to the champ just before winning against Aldo, and you have the reason why Aldo makes more sense than Yoel.

And jose aldo has done 3x more in the ufc than yan ever has, and is the more proven challenge.
he is coming from a weight class above and just walked right at marlon one of the heaviest hitters at bw and the number one contender.
I think a little more than 50 percent of people believe aldo won that fight against marlon, yan has zero top five fights at bw, cowboys a pefect example of how you can rack up wins outside the top 5.

danas the promoter and he believes aldo won he has stated that, this is why aldo is getting the title shot.
 
Giving Aldo the title shot is driving a lot of attention to bw. I’m down for it.
 
These are the repercussions of illegally streaming the UFC. this is a real problem, you guys need to start paying again. people who actually deserve title shots are getting fucked.
