If you can't afford to lose a Rolex, you can't afford to own a Rolex. In summation, you sound poor.

Yeah I’d rather spend that on a Hamilton or a Seiko but everyone has different tastes.I like G Shocks for what they are, relatively cheap beaters.
But to spend $400 on a stainless one?
2 is 1 and 1 is none.If you can't afford to lose a Rolex, you can't afford to own a Rolex. In summation, you sound poor.
They cam out with a G Shock Steel and made the shit even more undescuctable.

it looks pretty beastly. G shock are great daily time pieces.
The bracelet is part of what makes a sports watch a sports watch though.Hmmm, I'm not a fan.
This seems to be a mix of two concepts, a dress watch and something you wear during physical activity.
The style and wording around the dial means it's not classy enough to be a dress watch. The band, and color means it's not sporty enough to look like something you wear in athletic / outdoor settings.

I've scratched the head of every single watch I've ever owned. I've owned a 400 dollar victorinox all the way down to the 30 dollar gshock. The gshock was the best. Only because I didn't care that I scratched it. I scratched that 400 dollar one on day 2 of owning it. Fuck that.
Sounds like money I don't want to spend. I've moved on from watches. I get my time elsewhere. It was never a matter of fashion. Well, the victorinox was a gift, so I gave the whole fashion thing a shot. Learned my lesson. You need a sapphire crystal, they're way harder to scratch. Maybe get a nice classic automatic Seiko like the SKX007 or SKX009 and if you scratch the Hardlex crystal (better than a victorinox or g shock) take it to a watch shop and have them replace it with a sapphire one.
Nah, a million in liquid assets is when you can get a $50k watch.Unless you have a million in liquid assets you should not have 20k tied up in a fkn watch that doesn't do shit more than a 20$ watch.

In reality it matters on the watch.5% of your liquidity on your wrist?
What's the cutoff for a 20k watch then?
