My dad, to this day, can beat my ass I am sure. And I am not willing, or wanting, to test that theory. I suffered his left hook and takedown years ago, not doing it again.

Not fear but growing up I always had a healthy respect for my pops.

I don't think I was ever physically scared of my father - he was 5'5 and 140lbs soaking wet. He was also a professor and did no manual labor in his entire life. Mind you, both him and my mom were masters of emotional guilt. I was scared of disappointing them - they made it feel as though the world were ending if I came home with a bad grade.

I'd be terrified if my dad walked in the room right now.

He's been dead for 15 years, so it would mean the zombie apocalypse has begun, and I'm not prepared.

The scariest thing about the zombie apocalypse is how much I'm looking forward to it.
