Why do people think fighters answering media questions is “making excuses”

Do casuals understand that after the fights are over there is something called a “Post fight press conference” where fighters answer tons of media questions about the fight, life, training and other various topics. Not even just talking about this fight literally after every card people fighter bash for “making excuses” and use quotes from press conferences to do so
