Why is Francis heavier for his boxing matches than his UFC fights?

I get that the UFC has a weight cap at heavy weight but isn't is said that he didn't actually cut down to 265 since he would always weigh in well under the limit? I would think he'd be even lighter as boxing training tends to be more cardio intensive and strength training isn't usually focused on as much.

He weighed what? 272? That's not a big jump from 263 which he was for Stipe

Fury is one to always come heavy AF, he probably felt the weight from Fury in that fight and wanted to have that on Joshua, other option is him enjoying life...it happened to Andy Ruiz Jr after he beat AJ, the man let himself go.

A heavier Francis doesn’t have to worry about avoiding takedowns or having to wrestle. Makes sense to put on weight, increase power, when all he has to do is throw punches.

Joshua is about to get fucked up

EDIT: well, i was wrong about that last part.

Bet all the Dana parrots will say Francis ducks all.

Grappling burns a shit load of calories. If he has exclusively been focusing on boxing, then he's not going to burn as many.
