Well, I'm sort of grossed out because I bet that bear had a pretty awful life.

On the behaviour front, it's pretty well documented that polar bears learn how to wrestle in their adolescence and that it's an important social skill for them.

I wrote a documentary about polar bears last year and noted that they dig for underhooks and figure out basic grappling rules like putting their head on the side of the underhook, etc. It's not the sort of thing that made it into the doc, but I still geeked out on it.
