There are missions that give you intel?

Yup, and apparently it wasn't ever offering me any.

Do you know how to scan? You get intel for scanning and flying your ship to different spots to pick up intel.

Its hard to play this game and not know how to scan.

You should turn war of the chosen on. It's the same storyline except they add more stuff to it. It's just a massive update to the original game. If you have shen's gift. It's same thing too. Maybe you should play a little Vanilla then go to WOTC when you get the basics down.

She is in the Alien hunters DLC. There are 3 of them. A snake, her and an Archon

It just adds stuff to the orginal game?

It's still same storyline but adds additional stuff to it. It might seem hectic to a newbie when everything is happening at the same time but it's the most fun juggling everything. You get the crazy alien hunter monsters, the chosen avatars, shen's gift and main mission going on all at the same time.

Nothing changes from the base game except some additional cut scenes to explain these new bosses and factions. Final mission is still the same as Vanilla
