Can we pick an actual Pettis KO? The Showtime kick was dope and all, but Bendo got back up and kept scrapping.
This is disrespectful to Yair at this point IMO.
1. Pettis never had the plethora of attacks and multitude of elements refined on the feet like Yair does.
2. Yair doesn't just lose fights by crumbling like Pettis did multiple times.
Both great kickers, with tkd bases of course, but not a great comparison IMO.
It's incredible how much people still read into the Edgar fight.
Yair was 24. A baby in MMA years. Fighting against one of the lighter weight class GOATs.
Who do you think he's fighting tonight?
Im not a fan of Volk but the dude is certainly one of the best to do this at 145 sir.
Did you somehow miss the part about Yair being only 24 in the Edgar fight?
it's a little bit warranted
I think Yair is the next evolution of a guy like Pettis, but you can't deny the similarities.
Flashy strikers that have lost against pressure fighters
The problem with Pettis never recovered after USADA
Both fighters can pull off flash Submissions out of nowhere
Both fighters can pull off flash KO's out of nowhere
Yet both also look like shit against fighters that push the pace or depend heavily on grappling
+ It's not a good look when Max can beat you by out grappling you
Alex is too smart, gotta be an easy fight for him.

Both are solid finishes.Lauzon and Cerrone.
They share similarities, but to me Yair has a better striking and Pettis has a better BJJ off his back.
More importantly, unlike Pettis, Yair is no quitter.
Anthony Pettis was a quitter, who failed in his big fights.
Well for one he’sThere nothing alike
Jones beat valdamirYair was compares a lot to Jones and Pettis early in his career.
