Dim the sun? Sounds like the plot of a low budget indie movie I saw called Day 2. They tried to block the sun to stop climate change and still ended the world in a nuclear war.

Well, you have to think big. We are not going to stop global warming because you are now ordering your 3 daily Starbucks macchiato without a straw.
I personally have always thought about the Sun as more of an Adversary than a friend anyway. The less dependent we are on it the better.

I wonder why arent Americans doing something about it, they ought to build some sort of powerplants there and drain it, im sure with the energetic consumption of California they would be done in less than 100 years.

Dimming the sun is exactly what an eruption of the yellow Stone super volcano will do. Someone made a thread on that in Gayberry asking if it will exterminate all life on Earth
