Rip threw the fight to put Kayce over. He sold it well enough, but wasn't a 5 star match.I feel like Rip would’ve dogged Kayce out if it was a real fight. But the show is kinda going off the rails in terms of believability:
-The vet diagnosing that John doesn’t have cancer and performing a miracle surgery...yeah okay. Then they explain it away by having the doctor say all you had to do was go the specialist I referred you to and taken a pill and you would’ve been fine. I seem to remember him going to the doctor several times in Season 1 and even having surgery if I recall correctly.
-John going for a joyride actually swimming underneath people and just happening to bump into Kayce’s wife when it’s made clear he doesn’t want to do it and be around all those people 10 minutes earlier. Like the richest man in Montana couldn’t get a private pool somewhere.

I'm pretty sure Costner was ignoring pains in the 1st season. That pool scene was far too convenient though
Def wood Kayce's wife
-Damn Rip is as loyal as they come.
-Am I the only one that thinks Jimmy doesn’t have anything to worry about in regards to the tweakers. I mean you work for the most powerful man in the state and live on his ranch in a bunkhouse with 10 other people no less. I wouldn’t be worried in the slightest.
sounds like something nobody is gonna watch.
I camped at Yellowstone and did all the hikes 3 times when i was a kid. There are trees there.
I also went to Custards Last Stand and my mom bought some "authentic indian jewelry" for my sister then looked inside and it had a tag that said "made in china"
The Pacific Ocean, now thats something to visit.
Kind of a let down for a Season finale. Rip's scene with the trust was great but the rest of the episode finished up way too neat and convenient.
The over the top virtue signaling and pandering to the audience with all of Monica's scenes/arc was enough for me to fast forward through everything she was in.
Would be nice to get more of a background of the hate that Beth has for Jamie in Season 3.

I also want to find out the rest of the story on why Beth hates Jamie so much. I predict it will be because her mother favored Jamie over her and she was always jealous of him for that.
What was the virtue signaling you noticed - the jewelry store scene where she was discriminated against for being an indian?
I never liked Monica. Remember when she broke up with Kayce and said if she didn't, she was afraid Tate would turn out like his grandfather? I hoped for her sake that was just a result of the head injury she had suffered because it was such a stupid thing to say. She should pray Tate turns out to be the man John Dutton is!
I was hoping the end of the show would be the Becks' plane blowing up and the Duttons not knowing if Tate was in it. If Tate had died in the plane explosion, Kayce dealing with the fact that he planted the bomb that killed his son would have provided some intense episodes for season 3.
It was too forced fed to us this season; over the top and unrealistic. The jewelry store scene was the icing on the cake. The whole scene reminded me of Dave Chappelle talking about the Juicy Smollet case. I know Taylor Sheridan (the creator of the show plus Wind River Sicario etc) is very much into Native American rights and all, but it could have been done in a much less hamfisted way for the whole season.

Yes sadly I believe that’s all it is regarding Beth/Jamie although I wish it was something more interesting/deeper. The flashbacks showed Mama Dutton didn’t really like Beth.
