Yellowstone TV series on paramount network

Good series. I finally got caught up this evening.

I am curious about this “Cowboy” character that just showed up. He seems to know Walker from somewhere, prison maybe? There’s gotta be more to it than he is just passing through and looking for work. Also he seems to have enough of a rep not to have to do “low man’s work.”

I feel like Rip would’ve dogged Kayce out if it was a real fight. But the show is kinda going off the rails in terms of believability:

-The vet diagnosing that John doesn’t have cancer and performing a miracle surgery...yeah okay. Then they explain it away by having the doctor say all you had to do was go the specialist I referred you to and taken a pill and you would’ve been fine. I seem to remember him going to the doctor several times in Season 1 and even having surgery if I recall correctly.

-John going for a joyride actually swimming underneath people and just happening to bump into Kayce’s wife when it’s made clear he doesn’t want to do it and be around all those people 10 minutes earlier. Like the richest man in Montana couldn’t get a private pool somewhere.
Rip threw the fight to put Kayce over. He sold it well enough, but wasn't a 5 star match.

I'm pretty sure Costner was ignoring pains in the 1st season. That pool scene was far too convenient though

Def wood Kayce's wife

He 100% was experiencing pains but it also was established he was not only seeing doctors but had had a surgery for it. Then they backtrack in this season like he had never seen the specialist he was referred to.

This week's episode got the nudity warning. Don't blink.

EDIT: I didn't see any nudity.

-Damn Rip is as loyal as they come.

-Am I the only one that thinks Jimmy doesn’t have anything to worry about in regards to the tweakers. I mean you work for the most powerful man in the state and live on his ranch in a bunkhouse with 10 other people no less. I wouldn’t be worried in the slightest.

Damn this show made it two seasons on Paramount? I am still salty at them cancelling Blade when they were called SpikeTV but Sheridan is the man and the cast sounds pretty good.

Might have to check this out.

Just finished season 2, I love this show

Rip is such a badass. I like and Hate Beth, wood n't mind more of her nude, but these were def goat scenes from season 2.

sounds like something nobody is gonna watch.

I camped at Yellowstone and did all the hikes 3 times when i was a kid. There are trees there.

I also went to Custards Last Stand and my mom bought some "authentic indian jewelry" for my sister then looked inside and it had a tag that said "made in china"

The Pacific Ocean, now thats something to visit.

What on earth are you talking about?

Kind of a let down for a Season finale. Rip's scene with the trust was great but the rest of the episode finished up way too neat and convenient.

The over the top virtue signaling and pandering to the audience with all of Monica's scenes/arc was enough for me to fast forward through everything she was in.

Would be nice to get more of a background of the hate that Beth has for Jamie in Season 3.

Yeah did anybody on the Dutton side even die during their double raid to get Tate back??? Quite the flawless victory there. Not really believable. I believed the show would at least sacrifice the cop who shot that teenager so there would at least be an air of believability to the situation.

I also want to find out the rest of the story on why Beth hates Jamie so much. I predict it will be because her mother favored Jamie over her and she was always jealous of him for that.

What was the virtue signaling you noticed - the jewelry store scene where she was discriminated against for being an indian?

I never liked Monica. Remember when she broke up with Kayce and said if she didn't, she was afraid Tate would turn out like his grandfather? I hoped for her sake that was just a result of the head injury she had suffered because it was such a stupid thing to say. She should pray Tate turns out to be the man John Dutton is!

I was hoping the end of the show would be the Becks' plane blowing up and the Duttons not knowing if Tate was in it. If Tate had died in the plane explosion, Kayce dealing with the fact that he planted the bomb that killed his son would have provided some intense episodes for season 3.

Season 1 showed naked nipples, but Season 2 only showed naked dead mercenary buns. WTF?

It was too forced fed to us this season; over the top and unrealistic. The jewelry store scene was the icing on the cake. The whole scene reminded me of Dave Chappelle talking about the Juicy Smollet case. I know Taylor Sheridan (the creator of the show plus Wind River Sicario etc) is very much into Native American rights and all, but it could have been done in a much less hamfisted way for the whole season.

Beth barging in with her monologue about the store employee having the ass of a 12 year old boy and then taking a peak at her privates and being like “Hmm I always knew you weren’t a natural blonde” almost saved that scene...almost.

Yes sadly I believe that’s all it is regarding Beth/Jamie although I wish it was something more interesting/deeper. The flashbacks showed Mama Dutton didn’t really like Beth.

I have a feeling the show is purposely trying to mislead us with Beth/Jamie's relationship. They are strongly pushing the narrative Jamie did something horrible and/or selfish to cause Beth to hate him. I have a feeling Beth has animosity towards Jamie because Jamie did whatever John and Mama Dutton asked of him (Jamie sacrificed his individual path in life for his father/mother's wishes to be a lawyer) and Jamie was always coddled by Mama Dutton. Because of this (along with jealousy and guilt for thinking she killed her mother) Beth sees him as a suckass and weak.

Cole Hauser is low key a tremendous actor

I thought it was him, not Vin Diesal, that carried Pitch Black personally, he wasn't that bad in 2F2F, and he kills it in this show

Does Rip really inherit everything or was that just Beth's wishful interpretation of having enough sons? Why'd Rip say when asked what's he gonna do now that he'll do the same job but elsewhere?
