Cash version of One was solid and I like it better than the original.

Knowing what Mr. Cash was going though during that point in his life, and following his overall career to that point, the lyrics take on a different meaning.

I can see that. Maybe I just listened to NIN for so long that I couldn't shake the lyrics original intent.
