ZMA thoughts?

Interesting also is that for pyridoxine to be converted to it's biologically active form P5P, the zinc dependent enzyme pyridoxine kinase must be present. I wonder if Conte actually knew this when he patented ZMA.

Maybe he knew that pyridoxine is the one B6 vitamer that wasn't (at the time) up for FDA approval to be classed as a drug. His ZMA patent is still (forever) pending as it's a basic nutri-sup.

If it's the "pyridoxine kinase" being an issue, I think either you might have pyridoxine and pyridoxal mixed up or I've got it backwards as I'm pretty sure the body can just convert pyridoxine to P5P without ATP. Even so, pyridoxal kinase would be just as easy once ingested with the Zn present in the pill and the ATP should be available already in the body (from the liver I think.)
 
Nice catch. It should be pryridoxal kinase, not pyridoxine.
 
Helps me sleep and im crappy sleeper so definatly worth it.
