NBA/ABA Top 100 Player Pyramid

The top 10 all-time right now at this moment.

1) Jordan
2) Kareem
3) Magic
4) Russell
5) Wilt
6) Kobe
7) Duncan
8) Lebron
9) Shaq
10) Bird

11) Hakeem

Pretty much this. Hakeem is greater than Kobe on the all-time list. And a case could certainly be made for Big O(and a few others).

He was consistently great for well over a decade, twice led a team out of a WC that full of killers, only to lose to Jordan's Bulls. Rings don't tell the whole story.

Lol Hakeem has no case over Kobe the same for Bird. Kobe is more accomplished, but Hakeem was the better player.

This makes Hakeem ranking over Kobe even more silly to those that do.

Kobe 2005-2013
2 championships
2 finals mvps
1 season mvp
8 first team all nba's
6 first team all defense's
9 time allstar starter

Hakeem's entire career

2 championships
2 finals mvps
1 season mvp
6 first team all nba's
5 first team all defense's
8 time allstar starter

Does Hakeem even win back to back in 94-95 if Jordan wasn't retired.

Jordan was back for the 95 Yoffs and was scoring 31.5PPG with GF% at 48

Kobe never carried a team to the finals, let alone two rings. Furthermore, at Hakeem's peak, he was hands-down the best in the league at his position; this is a league that included Shaq, Robinson, Ewing, Mourning, etc. Kobe always had one or two guys on his level...MJ, T-Mac, VC, Lebron, Wade, Carmelo, Durant, etc.

What? Kobe carried the Lakers to 3 straight Finals 2008-2010 and won back to back championships and losing to one greatest defensive teams ever in NBA history with 08 Celtics. The only players that were on Kobe level you named are Lebron and Wade the rest aren't that includes Durant. Don't be silly and dumb here by discreditng Kobe career.

The point was, Kobe wasn't the biggest asset on his team for three-peat. You could've replaced Kobe with AI, Jason Kidd, VC, TMac, Payton, Starbury, etc, and the results likely wouldn't have changed.
During the second run, there was no doubt Kobe was the man on that team. But it certainly helped that he had guys like Pau, Odom, etc.
Not trying to discredit Kobe; he obviously great. But the context under which he won those rings, did a lot more for than his legacy than players of a similar caliber.

olajuwon was better thasn shaq. also, steph is a couple years from making the list. also, if team accomplishments count, where is robert horry?

also, bill walton as a pro wasnt that great. in fact his enshrinement into the HOF is questionable

Put an asterisk next to LeRoids for his steroid abuse(s).

Not fair to judge a known steroid user on the same playing field as non-roiders (even though he's still far below in either comparison LOL)

Carried 5 teams to championships and would have had 7 if not for referee intervention/betting scandals.

Your analysis is the type you'd get from someone who has never watched the beautiful game before.

VC on the GOATs "level". I've truly lived to see it all, LMFAO.

Olajuwon is remembered as a journeyman-tier talent if Known Degenerate doesn't take 2 years off.
