Welcome once again to the 2017 Heavies Awards! Thank you to everyone who has voted or chimed in so far! This is for all the marbles - who is your 2017 Fighter of the Year?
These fighters, listed alphabetically, need no introduction, and some of their fights are probably still very fresh in your memory. Each nomination has links to their fights on Fight Pass if you want to rewatch them.

Robert "Bobby Knuckles" Whittaker, Middleweight Champion (2-0) - POTN knockout of top contender, won interim MW championship in FOTN battle, promoted to undisputed champion

Defeated Yoel Romero by Unanimous Decision at UFC 213 on July 8
"Thug" Rose Namajunas, Strawweight Champion (2-0) - Two fights, two stoppages, won the WSW belt by first round TKO as a +500 underdog at +2500 to win by KO/TKO
