But but but billionaires! waaahhhhhhhh

ada.jpg

We can all clearly see what's on your mind. eesh.

And he's eating sugar, dipshit. Good god, haha.

And yet most of these people crying about billionaires fervently support one of the main tools big business use to drive wages and working conditions down and keep the distribution of wealth moving upwards. Mass immigration. If you want see someone who's been duped and brainwashed by the corporate elite into going against the best interests of ordinary people then take a look in the mirror.

Why were wages growing after the depression and WW2, when immigration was vast and steady?

There's been a lot of complaining here lately about how billionaires have so much money and its not fair on the rest of us.

Well guess what? If you earn $32,400 a year then you are in the top 1% of income earners in the world.

To put that in perspective, the median income in the USA in 2017 across all occupations was just over $50,000.

Also of note, working full time (40hr/week) on minimum wage in the US will get you $15,000, which puts you inside the top 8% of income earners.

You hate on the billionaires for being rich, but since we're here with access to technology and the internet really we're all pretty rich so maybe start hating on yourselves?

Let the crying begin.
What if I don't give a shit about non-Americans and their earnings? In the United States of America, it shouldn't take both parents working 2,080+ hours a year to afford basic needs for a family of 4. All American citizens should be able to live affluent lives with the number of hours the average person here works combined with the sheer wealth that's owned in this country. God-fucking forbid multi-millionaires and up pay a greater percentage in taxes than people making $10/hr. And god-fucking forbid illegal immigrants don't see a dime of tax-payer money- except the kind that's spent kicking them the hell out.

Here's the bind Democrats and Republicans put people in, respectively: If you don't support illegal immigrants you're a piece of shit and if you support helping even one American to not be poor you're a piece of shit.

And if Murkan billionaires were taxed at 60% they would still be in the top .00001% of income earners in the world.

So why do they whine like bitches when they get taxed?

"OMG taxes!! Youre hurtin mah margins!!! Its worse than butt-sechs with no lube!!"

earth shattering realization.

i think few are complaining that its unfair to be a billionaire. most complain that billionaire's benefit from public money, and then shirk their responsibility to pay back into it.

if you followed media that didnt peddle strawman arguments to you all the time, you might have known that was most people's true opinion on the left.

And this is how billionaires convince people to vote against their own self interests.
There are some definite dangers associated to the above line of thinking. Demanding some kind of post-market distribution of wealth isn't necessarily fine just because "we voted for it." One of the government's jobs is to defend the life, liberty, and property of its citizens, and it's not fair to redistribute someone's property just because the masses want it to be distributed. If it was amassed fairly, then it is up to the owner of said property what to do with it. What "we" think about that is irrelevant, much the same way that "our" views on who you marry, what you eat, and how you dress are irrelevant and therefore not within the scope of what we can vote to change.

Are you crying about people crying?
.

Actually he was crying in another thread, but somehow needed a special thread to cry some more. While still missing the point completely. Quite adorable actually.

I don't think anyone likes getting taxed period.

Government will not distribute directly, that implies a gov cost, its first DEM/REP money if they redistribute they will make sure it gets spent on bureaucracy first. I´m all for US antitrust laws but it seems they are hardly ever applied

"they restrict the mergers and acquisitions of organizations that could substantially lessen competition. Third, they prohibit the creation of a monopoly and the abuse of monopoly power"

As far as garbage threads go this one is up there. So now people need to cut those poor billionaires some slack ? Are they not given enough representation by our government? 2 parties aren’t enough?

Are you crying about people crying?

The problem most people have is that wage growth has not kept up with inflation. It is essentially making us poorer while the wealthy in this country continue to see more gains.
But but but OP is one of them.

Wait, no he isn't, he's in the other group, verbally protecting billionaires like an idiot.
Probably voted Trump into Office, thinking he'd change something.

The rich are rich, let's reward them with more than they can spend in several lifetimes

TS' crying equals "I'm a poor useful idiot!!! Aren't you non MAGimps so stupid derrr?!?!"

siding with people who wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire over normal humans. Smh.
Seriously? Do you even know how much people like Bill Gates gives away to charity?

What a messed up, bitter attitude.

Hay guys, if you have a fridge you're richer than the richest kings in 1183!

If you make 10 bucks an hour, and you’re an adult, you only have bad life choices to blame.

You do realize that cost of living in the world is different right?

$15,000 will give you a decent middle class life in most places in Mexico but its near hobo status in California.
