But but but billionaires! waaahhhhhhhh

And this is how billionaires convince people to vote against their own self interests.
My self interest is best served by working for the billionaire and getting paid more than the average.

Oooooohh please save some of that salt for later I'm having fish n chips fa dinner. And how does this billionaire oligarch conspiracy affect you? In America it makes you rich, even if you're one of the poorest people in the country.

You know what's really stupid? Hating people you never met because they have something you don't have but feel entitled to instead of just focusing on how to improve your own situation.

What's a normal human? You? You come across as angry and mean like you're the one who wouldn't piss on me if I was on fire.

Says the guy who made a thread advocating for unfettered amalgamation of capitol by people so far beyond need or want as to be implausible, while arguing that this is a justice. You sound like someone threw a javelin at your head and caught you between the eyes.

I would advocate for discipline in the monetary system within a nation like America, seeing as discipline is freedom.

"I am conscious that an equal division of property is impracticable, but the consequences of this enormous inequality producing so much misery to the bulk of mankind, legislators cannot invent too many devices for subdividing property, only taking care to let their subdivisions go hand in hand with the natural affections of the human mind. The descent of property of every kind therefore to all the children, or to all the brothers and sisters, or other relations in equal degree, is a politic measure and a practicable one. Another means of silently lessening the inequality of property is to exempt all from taxation below a certain point, and to tax the higher portions or property in geometrical progression as they rise." Thomas Jefferson

And how does that work exactly? It's not a conspiracy to admit that the billionaires in this country have a disproportionate influence on how our government functions. It's a fact.
and what is the effect of this on your daily life? give me an example of something that happened to you today, or this week or even in the last month where you thought "fuck those rich guys that wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for those bastards!"

Is there a word for white knight thats for rich people and not women?

After all that bullshit about economic populism and working class white economic anxiety Trumpsters have gone back to tongue-bathing the super rich. If all you fucking retards wanted was a repeat of the Bush years you could have just said so up front.

A billionaire owns my company and that company pays me a more money than most. Thank you billionaire.

Tell a guy who was just laid off from his fucking job and cant find one, cause it was fucking outsourced to add an extra wing to the billiionaire fucks mansion, that he is in the top one percent in the world. Sure it will make him feel better. Or tell a homeless fella that he is in the top one percent too. Itll make his day. Lots of people affected by inequal distribution and believe it or not, I favor capitalism. No commie or socialist. But.....crony capitalism and the politicians have rigged the system. If you cant see that our infrastructure is failing, housing prices out of control, fucking food prices going up all the fucking time, and insane taxes fucking us middle class over, then you are blind, a servant or a troll. Follow the money trail and youll see that the politicians are bought and paid for and The Federal reserve is a private bank. Who owns that? They control fucking everything, and while I do appreciate the fact that I have more than most of the world, it doesnt take away the fact that its a struggle to make ends meet at times. For alot of people. And I know many people are fiscally irresponsible but the USA education system doesnt teach kids a goddamn thing about economics or finance. And thats for a reason.

There's been a lot of complaining here lately about how billionaires have so much money and its not fair on the rest of us.

Well guess what? If you earn $32,400 a year then you are in the top 1% of income earners in the world.

To put that in perspective, the median income in the USA in 2017 across all occupations was just over $50,000.

Also of note, working full time (40hr/week) on minimum wage in the US will get you $15,000, which puts you inside the top 8% of income earners.

You hate on the billionaires for being rich, but since we're here with access to technology and the internet really we're all pretty rich so maybe start hating on yourselves?

Let the crying begin.

We'll need some citation for literally all of that, given that (for wealth measurement) you need $750,000 to be in the top 1%.

Hell of savers, those guys.

Also, let's just set aside costs of living, relative values of currency, etc.

I believe that's if you limit the question to the US. Add the world and it drops.

Currently 8 people in the world possess as much wealth as 3 billion people. Seems like a great way for humanity to function.

In 2010 it took 43 people to equal that much. I hope this trend continues so that real wages of basically the entire world continue to drop and they can get more.

I for one am glad that the middle class is being destroyed, and that the elite are pushing towards legitimate world domination through the proliferation of technology, and monitoring of the population as if this is 1984.

Don't worry if we give all the wealth to a few it can just trickle down to everyone else.

I didn't say anything about amalgamation but mmmmm thank you for that delicious salt my dinner is so tasty now!

I'll take that as a concession that you don't, and don't care to know what amalgamation means. Fools do not often know why others fail to take their genius seriously. You made a good case for yourself in that regard in service of your love of the patricians from a position of a useless tekton.

And yet most of these people crying about billionaires fervently support one of the main tools big business use to drive wages and working conditions down and keep the distribution of wealth moving upwards. Mass immigration. If you want see someone who's been duped and brainwashed by the corporate elite into going against the best interests of ordinary people then take a look in the mirror.
