Conor has been able to look competent on the ground with very capable grapplers in the past.

You really think Conor is the first guy that's like, "well, I'll just train my TDD and ground game to nullify Khabib". Conor is not stuffing or outgrappling him unless he can do massive damage in the first minute or two.

Truly, I think Conor will do better in any grappling exchanges than we expect. If he can just mirror al iaquinta's defensive success, I believe Khabib is in big trouble. If he has more success than al stopping khabib's offensive, he'll win this fight

Conor has some decent scrambles and sweeps. I'm not saying that he should be a favorite in the fight or that he'll win the grappling exchanges. I'm just saying that he's not some fresh white belt who will absolutely look ridiculous.

This brings up a big point about Habib that no one is addressing.... is he dumb? With his wrestling he should be able to submit guys easily... if he had half a brain. And honestly.. he seems dumb from what I have seen of him..

We may have the biggest mismatch in IQ in the octogon in UFC history.. Conor is brilliant in a lot of ways. Everyone is ignoring fight IQ in this match...

For one he has submission wins. And a damn near 80 to 90 percent finish rate... He he holds a bjj belt. He trains bjj with somone who competed profesionaly no i dont take danis word for shit but his bottom game vs chad an ncaa and bjj fighter wasnt really bad he defended chads subs revearsed him ect.

His finishing ability is weak, no doubt about that. But his top control & passing are that of not just a blackbelt, but a high-level blackbelt. That is jiujitsu. Position, & submission. He is weak on one side, but he has mastered the other. And position is actually the more reliable of the two; a submission specialist may often run out of time before they can catch something, but for a position specialist like Khabib, time is on his side. Conor has his hands full here.
