Freedom of Speech doesn't mean freedom from civil liabilities. It only means that the government doesn't have any shit interfering with you for what you're saying. It also means that if you call someone a cunt, as long as that someone doesn't represent the government, him bashing your mouth in won't be considered a violation of freedom of speech.

I think he's just trying to rustle some jimmies of the same posters defending that firefighter's joke or the feminist NPC killing troll on Youtube to show their hypocrisy by riling them up. Did you look up what the other guy's story was? Someone mentioned he said he just asked why she would want to sit with him. Or did you read the OP and think that was literally all the guy had to say was that he was gay and recently a citizen? He successfully invalidated an NDA (or rather called Trump's bluff on attempting to enforce it) with vested consideration which led her to book countless media appearance, sell a book, and market herself and her career in a way that no homely middle aged porn star should be able to do. The libel suit was frivolous, but she was certainly informed of that being a likely outcome from the get go. He's also crusades on her behalf to characterize her as a liberating figure, rather than what she is: a cash grabber.

More likely the truth is somewhere in the middle and the guy said something far less insulting to the daughter and Carlson overreacted and had to exaggerate what happened to not look like an asshole.

If you believe his version of the story, which appears to include him and his 19 year old daughter drinking alcohol together.

I don't have any issue with their reaction if that is really what happened, but there version is not the only version out there right now. I would just wait for more information to come out, since there were plenty of witnesses.
