What shocked me when reading about this was this quote from the linked to article.

"The majority of the hundreds of foreign aviation students who have participated in the program are from Saudi Arabia, the Navy said. The Naval training program has about 1,500 pilots in total."

Obama blocked the large arms deal with Saudi. Trump lifted the block
Obama criticised Wahhabism as spreading intolerance . No other president has criticised Saudi's state religion.

He also sold them more arms to Saudi Arabia than any other president thus far, and sold more arms in total to all other countries since WW2. Real Nobel Peace Prize winning stuff right there. Color me shocked that a politician said something, but did something to contradict that.

Obama was going along with the establishment. He didn't see the arms, he just did nothing to stop it. You think he could have gone up against the might of the M.I.C. and one of America's major exports, not to mention all the lobbyists , special interest groups and Think Tanks supporting Saudi?

I don't get your last sentence since I have not said anything about Trump deserving blame for the shooting.

The US has been training terrorists / thugs / death squads for decades. Unless you get someone like Bernie, the chance of the US cutting back is zero.

my original post was in regard to the meme of Trump going along with the establishment and doing what the Saudi's want, being posted in this thread, as if this has something to do with Trump, and then you quoted me. What, you think Trump can go up against the might the military industrial complex, one of our biggest exporters, and of all the lobbyists, special interests groups, and think tanks supporting Saudi?
