Tank Abbott vs Matua is the best stiff KO of all time

On an unrelated note

I remember thinking tank was a fat guy when I was a kid watching

the guy was absolutely massive has a power builder physique

Please don’t post the benching
Video and start the legitimacy arguments

It’s gotta be Etim. Every muscle in his body is locked up. Definition of a stiff ko.

Great selection of gifs. Looks like the 3rd one is a high side kick. You don't see that thrown too much in MMA.

Tank is such an over the top natural heel its insane.

One of the first really brutal moments I remember from the early days. Still remember watching it with mates probably back in '98-99 hiring the VHS from the video shop - what was that, UFC 6? VHS's of UFC were actually hard to find (in Australia at least) back then

Definitely a good one. Nate Quarry getting starched by Franklin is up there too. As someone else mentioned, Etim getting kicked in the dome has to be high up too. Not to mention...

Those two extra punches never get old. Savage!!

Mark Kerr vs Ranger Stott was a good stiff old school knee KO.

Tank's KO was for sure the most brutal stiff KO. However, the level of competition was pretty low (Matua was making his debut and ended up with a losing record in mma).

Some less dramatic KOs happened to much stiffer competition (pun).
