If I see people suffering, I put my politics aside and I help. I would hope you would too. You seem to have a very cynical worldview particularly when it comes to people who you disagree with's intentions. If you remove your assumptions from the equation, you're still left with two facts: 1)AOC raised 3.2 million dollars for crisis relief efforts in Texas and 2) Ted Cruz flew to Cancun in the middle of all of it.
Now consider that we all have biases, and we are sometimes wrong in our assumptions, you still can't change these two facts. And even if her motivation was self serving, isn't that the incentive structure of capitalism? If I invent an automobile that runs on grass clippings and save the environment, I will still get my cut. We're not going to demonize me for it. So maybe you should, you know, be a bit more introspective about this oddly formulated outrage of yours

Man, I can't imagine how the ones who have been bundled up at home all huddling together to keep each other warm are feeling. As a parent I would be worried about my kids and wondering when the government is going to step in and do whatever they can to get the power back and running. Then we come to find out that the Senator of the state decided to bring his privileged kids to a sunny destination and wait this out while we're praying for our utilities, the things we need to drink fresh water and keep us warm, start working again, or in the very least for the weather to get back to normal.
