It's their country. The U.S. tried and failed to set up a fake government for 20 years. The Taliban are stronger now than before we invaded. How long should we have stayed there? How many more trillions should we have wasted propping up a fake government? How many more U.S. lives and Afghan citizens? The only people who benefitted from this war are the defense contractors.

I totally agree. But people need to be honest with their feelings and admit that no one really new that the afghan would give up in 10 days .. after 20 years of help.

That's was my main point on why this would've happened with any president. They expected the government to hold for atleast 6 months to a year. That would've been adequate time for evacuation.

But at the end , they should've just played it super safe and had people evacuated first before military. That seems like common sense but what do I know.
