I think that was during the massive banning and cleaning up of the off topic. The off topic of today is more of a neutered version of that sub forum in let’s say 2005 or 06.

I used to mod that forum with Braz and Wamrage. I found out a few years ago that Braz killed himself.

My first account (2006) was banned in 2008 for posting bare ass pics in the OT. This account was carded twice for posting ass floss pics. Basically every av I have now would have gotten me carded back in the day.

The site was straight up pure shit. It only continued to exist because there was nothing like reddit yet. If reddit had been available, we would be on that.

If you go back further. you had to use usenet news groups like alt.binaries.fighting or whatever. People used to post .rar file of porn or whatever on those and you had to merge like 30 files together to decompress the unzip or extract the video. It was wild and there was a lot of illegal or in the very least very gray shit in the open but not many people used usenet groups or thought they should be monitored and restricted. Usenet was probably better than Sherdog was in the early years.
