Are we sure he shot the “wrong” person? Perhaps there is more at play. Maybe the stepdad was well aware of what was going on and that will be revealed in the trial.

Maybe Cain should go to prison for the rest of his life for shooting someone who has been investigated, and not charged with any crimes.

Regardless of whether their son is a pedophile or not, he deserves due process. Cain opening a high speed chase and shooting is wrong and he will be punished.

He wasn't blinded by rage, he didn't have a sudden outburst of emotion. He came up with a plan, and carried it out. He made a calculated move, it was just a stupid one.

The accusations is that the man has looked at and/or touched the boys penis in an inappropriate way.
Accusations because he hasn't even been to trial.
The man says that his mother (the owner of the child care center) has asked him to help the boy in the bathroom a few times since the boy was peeing all over the floor.
No other children at the center, past or present, has ever accused him of anything. He has no record of any pedo crime and the police has found no child porn pics or videos in his possessions. That would be quite unusual for a real pedo in his 40's.

I mean he did it, kind of hard to say innocent. The worst part of it all is he shot the wrong guy. If Cain had shot the right guy in a private setting I think the conversation would be different. Firing a gun out of a car while driving is extremely reckless, anyone could have been killed.

Given the circumstances Cain should use an insanity plea. He did something many of us would say we would do, and can you honestly be thinking clearly in those circumstances?

This is why men shouldn't work in those positions. As a dad of two I'd be a lot more comfortable sending him to places where women work in those positions. Even if everything you described is true, there were no wrong intentions and he was just trying to help him pee it doesn't feel right.

I’m a parent and there’s no way I potentially harm someone else’s child just because mine allegedly was. Starting a high speed chase while opening fire into the public is wrong, being a parent or not.

I agree that his approach was insane and not at all fair, just or reasonable. He could have killed an innocent kid in the process.

The point I was trying to make was that I’d lose my mind too and would probably also act irrationally. It would most likely not be on that scale but it would be totally out of character for who I am. Just the thought of someone harming my children starts to make me angry and get my blood boiling. And that’s just a hypothetical.

I do believe that this will be taken into consideration during the sentence, was the point I was making.

If it were me, I’d have used my hands and it would have been isolated.

Bring a parent in prison doesn't exactly make you father of the year either.
