    What's Your Next Purchase? V5

Not sure of the intended market. I'm not used to carrying daily, so was looking for the smallest comfortable carry gun.

    What's Your Next Purchase? V5

Bought a Taurus Curve Saturday. Had been looking at a couple different carry guns and was leaning that direction. Then saw it on sale at Academy for $300 (lowest I'd seen them was $350) so I bit. It's the same size as the kel-tec P3T, but has a better trigger and optional laser/light...

    What's Your Next Purchase? V5

I wasn't going that fast, and there's no damage on the X-Ray. Figure a month of rehab and I should be good as new. My car was 14 years old and I'd had it for close to 12 years and 120,000 miles. At this point, I was just running it into the ground. But I had planned to put another 50K on it...

    What's Your Next Purchase? V5

Last week in the rain, someone made a left turn on green right in front of me. So my next purchase will be car related, not gun related.

If you had won the powerball, what guns would you buy?

    Wasn't it like a billion dollars? I'd buy a B-2 Spirit.

Aren't standard weights for each caliber are 115, 180, 230? 9mm goes down to 85 for Frangible. I've only ever seen Frangible ammo for .45 at 185. No judgment was intended. Was just curious about your rationale. Whether it was to get cartridges with similar weights and terminal ballistics or...

Why go heavy on the 9 but light on the 40 and 45?

    What's Your Next Purchase? V5

I drank the look-aid and have not been disappoint. My CZ-75 is still my favorite handgun. I need to get to a range soon. My trigger finger has cobwebs...

    What's Your Next Purchase? V5

I've run it dripping wet and practically dry. There are range trips where it operates almost without issue, but to be honest I never put more than a couple magazines through it anymore. I have other 9s that I like better.

I'm sure slide recoil is not the correct term. The slide seems to take a long time to return after each shot. I pull the long ass spongy trigger until the gun discharges, recenter my aim, and the slide is still traveling forward for a fraction of a second, so I have to wait and recenter again...

My only real reliability issue is the feeding. That may be related to the slide recoil, which I feel has gotten worse after 500-1000 rounds. Also it consistently hits low. I'm sure everything else is as it was intended. I just don't like the trigger and how high the slide sits above the trigger.

    What's Your Next Purchase? V5

I have a Sig 2022. Terrible trigger, feed issues with some ammo, expensive magazines, tall slide that recoils so slowly that it throws my follow up shots off. Read somewhere that Sig builds a fine pistol, but can't mass produce with any sort of quality.

Ha! San Diego, so no better. Hoping to get the job in OK City. The pay isn't great, but the firearms restrictions are lax. It'd just be for a 3 year contract.

    What's Your Next Purchase? V5

Just bought a Winchester Model 94 in 30 WCF. I may be moving to California or Maryland. So will have to see where I land before I make another purchase. Top three job opportunities for me right now are in San Bernardino, Oklahoma City, or Walter Reed in Bethesda

    What guns to buy?

CZ 75 or Beretta 9 series AR-15 period. Whatever else you want, that should be the first 556 you get. Either a lightweight bolt-action or an M-14 clone.

    What's your next purchase? v4

National Republican candidates are a joke. But locally, Republicans own pretty much every state government completely. They also own both houses of congress. Even if Hillary wins (I say Hillary and not Bernie, because gun control is the only issue where she is further left than him)...

    Making improvised tools

Isn't tillering something you do when you are carving a bow out of a thicker piece of wood? This was just a simple bow from a sapling. Also, I'll bet those leaf springs imparted a generous amount of force. Could you draw the crossbow by hand? Or did it require more leverage?

    Making improvised tools

I cut a section from a birch sapling about 5' long and 3" circumference the entire length, notched the ends and used a waxy string my dad had (not sure what it was called or what it was for. It was black, about 1/8 of an inch thick, and looked and felt like it was made of dental floss. I then...

    What's your next purchase? v4

My sp2022 has completely turned my off from Sig. The double action trigger is long, gritty, and springy. The trigger on my CZ 75 is as smooth as the one on my 357 revolver.

    Making improvised tools

Sweet. The saw blade shurikens are a great idea. I made some out of bicycle gears one time. Only knife I've made was essentially a shiv. I was probably 6 and was "helping" my dad out at the shipyard. We cut down a metal yardstick to about 10 inches, and he gave me electric tape (to wrap...
