Ronda must be salty about how the Holm/Harrison fight went

Kayla has a good balst double & snatch single leg. The only other women who ever had these in her toolkit at 135 is McMann, and Marina Mokhntkina (and she only has the double leg) at 145. it’s a very rare skill set at 135 or above. I think that is what really sets Kayla apart from Ronda.

Ronda must be salty about how the Holm/Harrison fight went

I am pretty sure Ronda & Kayla have a weird relationship. They were roommates, & only Kayla has spoken about Ronda. She has mentioned they’re estranged, but generally is pretty neutral on Ronda. I think they obviously have a level of respect for each other.. but as a former Ronda fan, she just...

I believe that makes her the largest BW ever. Aspen was 159, Nicco was 153, Cat 151, & Nunes 150. Both Kayla & Ronda were small for their weight class in Judo. Weili reliably gets countered off of her lead leg strikes & or finds herself caught off balance from both kicks & punches. I also...

I agree, however it’s her first fight at the weight so I wouldn’t over deplete myself unless I had too. Also, her personal opinion on weight cutting probably means she’s only gonna cut what she has to. So long as she wins she’s getting a title shot imo, so better to stack the deck for that.

Kayla looked way better than I thought she would. Definitely favor her tomorrow.

Mullins’ striking defense has been shown to be particularly poor in her last 3 fights. It finally really caught up to her tonight. I’m sure the bad weight cut & camp change didn’t help. Cornolle throws hard, and she’s fast for women’s bantamweight. She has a tendency to allow herself to be...

Really looking forward to this weekends LFA Card. Shannon Clark is not where she needs to be on a technical level.. but she’s one of the more athletic women on the regional scene right now. She’s seemingly tireless, very durable, & if she fixed her punching mechanics she’d probably hit very...

Shakalova to the UFC is more likely but McCourt is obviously known to Dana. Before we sign anyone I think Luana Carolina (&Cachoeira) should be told they’re moving up to 135.

Oksana Chernikova (Latvian) was an active female kickboxer in the 2000s. She also had a few MMA fights in the early euro wmma scene. (Which was kind of cool from 98-05, before falling off a cliff till the early 2010s)

    Is Harrison -Rousey 2.0?

Kayla also claimed she didn’t need to cut to 150 for the Ladd fight. Kayla is a much much better Judoka & controlling grappler, her GNP when she can throw elbows has looked very good too. Kayla’s looked less dominant at times, but it’s not as if Ronda would submit modern day Mokhntkina in 30...

It’s a singular handler in the form of her husband Ray Elbe. He handles her fight negotiations & runs all her socials. Unfortunately he sort of botched the latter half of her career. Even Tito couldn’t stand the guy. I think their original plan post UFC was to rack up Bellator defenses...

Has anyone noticed how much better Kayla Harrison got today?

Kayla doesn’t need to be an all rounder & she’s not getting the credit she deserves for having the best takedowns in WMMA right now.

I don’t think someone with Kayla’s background does anything half ass. Also worth noting she’s only been allowed to throw elbows in 1 pro fight & that was a bloody massacre. I am sure she has some serious GnP elbows in her arsenal that are just waiting to be used.

If Harrison has a 4 fight deal I could see a world where it’s Holm, Pennington, Pena, Tate/Nunes then done. I’m a huge Kayla fan, so I’m very happy for her. Generally speaking I don’t think walling & stalling a gold medalist in Judo is an option so we’ll see how she looks.

I think 115 is more than fine. Dudakova, Gomes, Jauregi, Lucindo, Polastari are all 25 or under. Ricci, Loma, Moura, Knutsson, Vlismas, Amorim, Inoue, & Kim are all under 30. There’s also a quantity good talent on the regional scene still such as Fatima Kline, Mackenzie Stiller, Dong Huaxiang...

Seriously pulling for Mayra & Jas this weekend. I suck a predicting Polyana’s fights but I don’t think she hits hard enough to break Gillian so I’ll pick Robertson by ground & pound TKO. Priscilla sucks as a person, hopefully Jasmine pummels her. I do worry about this fight being at 135...
