If you pivot on your heel in karate or any TMA really, you will be laughed at. Bas doesn't pivot because that's his preference but the traditional way is to pivot on the ball of the foot and then put the heel back down for balance, because you're taught to grip the floor with your feet...
As far as the Tokushu gloves go, you're wrong. But I do agree on the price for most of their products, they're more expensive than they used to be and the shorts are definitely overpriced. The Ikusa line should be $10 cheaper because other than the shinguards, it's just a rebrand of the original...
If apps like that are available for android phones, then it should work on your android tablet.
The iPad 4 has a very high resolution so of course your graphics are going to be shit, however Apple's implementation of the PowerVR SGX 554 GPU offers up similar compute ability to the Nvidia...
There are some decent games on mobile. Look up "Shadowgun," "Modern Combat 4," "Lily," or "Real Racing 3." There are plenty of games with a larger scope than Angry Birds. Square Enix has plenty of ports to mobile and Sega has some as well, like Sonic 4.
I have had the Hayabusa Pro gloves since they first came out and am only looking at new gloves because my thumb sticks out a little bit now on the right hand from years of digging my thumb in to the padding. Other than that, they have held up great, considering how poorly I've treated them. I...
This isn't an actual review so this thread should have been posted in the discussion section and that white one looks pretty dope. Also, requesting a review of the Ring to Cage micro thai pads.
Mexican style wraps are definitely the way to go and I also recommend the Hayabusa's. Although, I have no experience with the Hayabusa bag gloves, I have a pair of Hayabusa Pro sparring gloves and they offer excellent wrist protection. I'm also assuming that you have small hands and if the bag...
Check out Fighters-inc. I don't know what they're shipping prices are, as they're only an hour's drive away from me, but they may be cheaper. They're based out of Ormond beach in Florida I believe.
How do the Evolutions feel? How is the padding, wrist support, fit, and size in comparison to other gloves of the same weight? I've been looking at these for a while but no one in the US sells them.
Genetics is only a small part. It's hard work and dedication. You want to get like Jordan go to your local university's wrestling practices. I'm sure his weight training isn't that different from what you hear about in MMA since there is a lot of grappling involved in the sport, but the obvious...
Keep your hands up, move your head and throw straight punches and upper cuts. This is a street fight not a match at a competition with rules so if you can take him to the ground and finish it instantly then do it. There's no need to make the fight last longer than it needs to.
I teach kids as well and actually prefer to teach kids instead of adults. I like older kids, about 10 and up, because they're old enough to focus and catch on pretty quickly, and they're young enough to where they don't complain as much.
I think your MMA coach and boxing coach are telling you the same thing. You don't want to take more than two steps backwards. After that, you should be circling away from your opponent and back to the center so that you aren't right back against the ropes/cage.
