This is an amazing video that shows they are still discovering issues with the F-35. This case the turbo-fan that resides in the rear of the pilot used for stabilizing and lift the F-35 during virtical landing. The rear jet engine has a directional outlet that produces tons of thrust.
In this case a small bird flies near the turbofan inlet and gets sucked into the inlet. In this case it seems the fan was not damaged but raises a question? Could these F-35's be taken down by a larger bird or drone?
