2 things to make UFC get back on the right track.

1. Champs defend within a time frame that makes sense unless there's an understandable reason excusing them.

2. Champs defend within a time frame that makes sense unless there's an understandable reason excusing them.

Same thing with cm punk. If was the ufc I would have milked him with 3 or 4 fights vs bums. Then make him fight someone tough
Mickey Gall was already the lowest of the lowest ufc tier fighter at the time having just 2 pro fights lol.

1. Get rid of USADA
2. Get rid of WMMA or at least put them on separate cards. If they are doing so good I can't see why women only cards are a problem.

Also...

Allow knees to the head of grounded opponent. Super heavyweight. Open weight tournaments. Yellow cards for no action. Better entrances. Basically bring back a little pride to UFC

QUALITY OVER QUANTITY

Much more money invested in getting elite talent from other MA's to switch to MMA as used to be the case pre UFC monopoly. You can bang on about the growth in the sport income wise but if little of this goes towards building up talent as was the case under Zuffa most of the time then the sports talent pool will stagnate and even decline as were seeing in higher weightclasses.
That's because pride had professional wrestlers to match them up against.

Who do you want them to fight?

1) Address weight-cutting in a meaningful way, phasing it out slowly, so there’s less last-minute cancellations or dehydrated zombies fighting at 50% of their abilities.

2) Have a designated number of (hate to use the word) “tent-pole” events, like 6 per year, with 2 title fights on each and 2 contender fights on each, with agreements in place that if someone is injured, one of the contenders steps up and title fight still goes on.

This will mean that the inbetween cards will be less stacked, but with a roster of 500+ fighters and proper PR (meaning not dumping millions into Conor-Aldo “media tour” and actually promoting the hundreds of other fighters), it’s not impossible.

I know the UFC is trying to cut costs, but this?

Maybe 2 minute breaks for fights taken short notice? Less excuse for being out of shape. Add referee replays so fights don't end in an eyepoke

More stacked cards - less watered down cards

Move WMMA to their own separate cards.

Have a bit more dignity in the rankings/belts

They need to slowly phase out WMMA. Isn't INVICTA still a thing? If anyone asks just tell them "we gave them their own league"... That way no controversy.

WME should ask the Ferttitas for a refund.

What would those 2 things be?
Opinions, facts?
Keep'em coming lads!!

1. Get rid of WMMA
2. Get rid of Reebok

Without the extra WMMA divisions taking up space and cash, and allowing fighters to have their own sponsors they'd retake the monopoly on top talent like they used to have.

1. Conor defends title.
2. Bisping defends title.

Those two things alone would have made a significant difference in 2017.

I agree with getting rid of WMMA, that is the worst thing about UFC now.

Better quality events. The best available fighters should be in the cards. No one outside of the top 10 should be in a PPV.

It would be cool to see them do a grand Prix pride tournament in Japan so fighters could have more than one fight in the same night.

Get rid of drug testing and focus on celebrity WWE style hype matches. That seems to be the recipe.

- 6 PPVs a year
- 6 TV / Fight Pass Cards (Would have to work out a deal with the TV company)
- PPVs at discounted rate if you have Fight Pass
- 4 prelim fights, 4 main card fights
- Create a new WEC type organization which broadcasts on Fight Pass for anyone outside of the top 15 rankings.
- Only top 15 ranked guys fight on TV and PPV cards. Every fight then matters.
