This is time people around the world have been waiting for and not some crappy Superbowl rigged with commercials every 2 minutes.

Yanks time to join the world and grow some soccer team too. With this talent pool you could go far.

Or competed in one. That's American football anyway. There is no American football world cup because you know a load of semi-pro rugby players from New Zealand would eventually stomp your asses (like Japan in baseball and Croatia in basketball in recent times).

There is no need to call it the soccer world cup. It is the World Cup, people already know it's football. God i hate the word soccer.

Too many teams of course. The next one i think every fucking country in the world should be represented. Personally i don't like the tournament as imo it's boring. Probably watch England and Australia's games only.

Also don't pay much attention to the Champion's League either. It has ruined domestic cup competitions and made them less important to people compared to how they used to be viewed.
The days of the European Cup is what i prefer, when the participants were real champions, again too many teams. Money is more important than football though, obviously.

It has also made teams celebrate not for winning the Premier League, for example, but for finishing 4th, 3rd, and 2nd, which is total shit as far as i'm concerned. The Champion's League is now more important than domestic leagues and well as the above mentioned domestic cup comps. Fancy having a party for finishing 4th, it's a bloody disgrace.
Then of course if you finish 5th there is yet another stupid competition to be involved with too.
Apart from all of that, i think the World Cup, Champion's League, and the Europa League, are absolutely vital and lots of fun to watch.[if you are completely stoned off your face and eating chocolate at the same time.]

The only other national team i've always had a soft spot for[and i don't mean between my legs btw] is the mighty Iceland. They used to get flogged all the time and rarely won, however they've improved so much. Plus Bjork comes from that country and i've always wanted to have sex with her.

If your season goal is to finish 17th and not get relegated, you have every right to throw a party for finishing 4th. I used to support Wimbledon. Financially, we were a 2nd tier team. Damn right we threw a party when we finished 6th. We didn't qualify for any European competition, as English teams were banned from European competition at the time.

Don't know too many rugby players that have ever tried to play NFL other than Jarryd Hayne (a rugby league player) and I think there was some english rugby union guy that plays tight end in the reserves of some nfl team. Jarryd Hayne looked alright in spells, but really it's a moot point...always going to be near impossible to transfer to a completely different sport at the highest level in your late 20s, especially one as specialised in terms of positions and as complicated in terms of memorising plays. Same for the NFL players and rugby, they would get by to an extent on athleticism and raw talent, but would struggle with everything else...if the best rugby players grew up playing american football they would be in the NFL and vice versa....

There is a young guy, Jordan Mailata who is trying to play in the NFL, so guess we will see how he does. He was a raw talent in rugby league too, never made it into the first team before deciding to swap to the NFL so that's kind of interesting...but deciding on the position he would play is the tough thing.

I'm like a broken record but this trolling is just boring imo...if you are gonna troll Euros in general at least go with something better than English crumpets.

Invite all countries in the world to compete.

Single elimination tournament.

I love how baseball has the world series to determine an actual world champion. NFL and NBA has the "N" for National yet they have the audacity to call themselves world champions.
