Almeida showcased that he is clearly terrified of getting hit. Also he shoots takedowns from halfway across the cage, Gane will time him with a knee.

Yes. There's a reason Jailton was calling out Gane instead of wanting to rebook the fight with Blaydes when the fight fell through the first time.

We still don't really know how good (or bad) Gane's defensive grappling is. He defended some sloppy shots from way too far out by Spivak, but Spivak isn't a wrestler, he's a judoka that needs to get in close and grab his opponent to take them down. His wrestling is not good.

One legged Francis outwrestled Ciryl, and Jailton has much better wrestling and takedowns than Francis does, though is less physically strong most likely.

I do find it funny that neither Blaydes or Aspinall will fight Gane though and both cite the reason as Gane having ducked them. Gane becoming something of a serial duck.

I don't think Gane would have survived the first round

Yes. While Jailton probably isn't that much of a threat on the feet, he does have a prolific TD game. Curtis has a good base, though was taken down repeatedly, was able to fend off a sub and not totally gas out. Curtis recognized the low shot from Jailton, sprawled, and took care of businesses. If Jailton gets ahold of Gane, IDK he has it in him to stop the grappling.

Why yes, i certainly do.

He couldn't fully get blaydes back but he could definitely get Ciryl's back and choke his ass out.

It seemed like most times Almeida would beat Blaydes and lost because he took a sloppy shot

He was dominating Blaydes until he got pounded out

Jailton is the opposite of Gane. No standup, all grappling. So Gane would've been a better path to title. Gane isn't as easy to takedown as people think though.

Gane got taken down at will by a crippled professional boxer.

That fight made me even more convinced that he would beat Gane.

Unless Gane has improves his grappling a lot, he and Almeida are two sides of the same coin. Both are/were very one-dimensional fighters.
After the Jones fight it would have been just as easy to make the topic "After tonight does anyone think Gane could beat Almeida?".

he can beat anyone....someone that wrestle fucks this much with 0 fucks given if the fight is boring or not can beat anyone at any time, the exact same way round 1 went vs Curtis, some might even say that was a fluke KO...how often do you see that from a guy who wasnt hurt before? Not often, so yeah a wrestler like that can do the same thing to most ppl, ESPECIALLY A GUY WHO GOT TAKEN DOWN BY FUCKING NGANNAU

He's still champion material. Dude dominated the best wrestler in the division with ease and has completely dominated every other heavyweight in the division. He just made an amateur mistake not recognizing the significance of repeated hammer fists to the temple. He'll run through Gane lol.
