Ahh I love that style of music. You ever watch/listen to transatlantic sessions?

no, just looked it up - looks awesome! You would probably like "Another Day/ Another Time" the Showtime concert about the music from Inside Llewyn Davis.

They were supporting Danzig, so listened to La Sexorcisto a few times beforehand, and didn’t really get it, tbh. Saw them live, and it all made sense. Loved them since then

I thought that "Eye Of the Tiger" was kinda cheesy, but I saw them go through their album live and they blew me away. That was one TIGHT band and they ROCKED.

Glad you dug it. Nothing as one-stop-shop as that, but I've fallen down many YouTube rabbit holes based off of that concert.
Yeah I think I'll make a Transatlantic Sessions thread. I hope they come out with another one soon. Your post about Gillian Welch reminded me of it because she's on the O Brother Where Art Thou soundtrack and alot of the other people who did that soundtrack have done transatlantic sessions. As to the youtube rabbit hole I'm about to go down it again. There's artists there who I otherwise might not have ever heard of like Amos Lee or Sarah Jarosz. I love that they all just jam each other's songs. Listening to Julie Fowlis right now. Only know about her because of ta too lol.

There's a cool video of Aly Bain(fiddle guy) and Nicola Benedetti who plays a violin worth millions just talking about violin music and then playing each other's instruments. lemme look for it

edit: here you go. I really want to learn to play

(A bit of a cheat as I had never heard of them until I saw them play the side stage at the HORDE festival. Bought their CD after the show and was pleasantly surprised to see Warren Haynes was a studio musician on the recording.)
