This is 100% true. I wasn't gonna comment but this struck a nerve for sure.

I hold the door for...people. I don't give a shit if they are man, woman, young, old. If someone gets f'ing offended because THEY read into it something that isn't there (ie, me being sexist instead of simply just polite) that's on THEM, not me.

The hilarious (and sad honestly) thing about it is that one of the basic tenents of equality is that people DON'T jump to conclusions about the motives of others. I have one kid, a daughter. If a man ever opens the door for her and she has any attitude other than "that was nice of him", that's a failure on my part as a parent. She should view it the same way as if a woman held the door for her, where her attitude should be "that was nice of her".
