Says he'll be returning to private life. No questions taken. Only clear question spoken as he walked away was "Mr. Secretary, can you say what the future of Iran will be?" Iran was not mentioned in his briefing, but he stated the importance of seeing a stable government in Iraq and lot's of work left in Syria. Very short briefing.

Well it can only hurt the Republicans, I'm just not sure if it will. This last two weeks has been such a godawful shitshow that a Twitter firing of the Secretary of State might make a few people stay home.
 
Rex was probably my favorite in this adminstration. He came across like a smart and sensible guy. But as soon as I saw his statement on Russia yesterday I knew he was done. Putin must have called Trump and demanded Rex head

It won't make republicans stay home. They dont care about it, it's just normal behavior to them.

It seems that way. For a group of people who profess resistance to fundamental change, they sure have turbo-discarded every political norm that posed even the smallest inconvenience.
