Brock is not afraid of punches(Myth debunked)

It's not that he was afraid of them, he doesn't react well to them and keep fighting through.

It's not that Conor doesn't have a fighter spirit and willing to put it on the line and sign the fight to take on all comers...he will, he just doesn't react well to adversity within the fight, which shows his lack of heart within the moment (same with Chael, Overeem, Lewis, and I guess Mir).

With Brock, it wasn't heart, it seems like he literally gets stunned in the way you might feel if something physically happened to you that you were expecting. For example, right this second, if you felt two hands firmly press down on your shoulders from behind you, you'd be stunned/surprised.

In the Couture fight I actually thought Randy was doing well, particularly in the wrestling exchanges. If it wasn't for Brocks massive size advantage he would've struggled to win that fight.

Brock is a guy where nobody IRL would've punched him. If you're a big guy that's athletic, chances are no one is going to attempt it especially if you come with some sort of combat sports background. The UFC is probably the first time in his life where a guy could and would punch him in the face. He had an excellent chin he just didn't know how to react to getting hit.

His base was wrestling, not striking.

He had very limited experience.

What would you expect?

Brock is a typical bully mentality.

He's berserker mode until he realizes someone can hang with him and fire back with heat.

Then he turtles right up.

You are a hypocrite if say brock is afraid and overeem isnt by that clear example. Brock was panic wrestling against randy? did you even watch the fight? he easily dominated him in the first round. He wasnt afraid of cain at all, quite the opposite, he was the one attacking and exchanging, he got hit by an uppercut and lost his balance. Against overeem he wasnt afraid either, he just got kicked in the liver. Against hunt he was cautious, anyone would be, myth debunked.

yeah, aside from the 5 or so examples you just mentioned, yourself, it's a myth. debunked!

Couldn't agree more.

Carwin has freakish power tho, he would panic most guys if he land a hit

It’s not that he didn’t respond well to getting hit! He just got hurt every time somebody hit him! C’mon man. Brock was a beast but clearly was uncomfortable on the feet and reacted poorly when guys put it on him.

Did you read the op? i explained why carwin is the only time he reacted that way, its a myth.

For one. His chin was too strong for his own good. He got to feel the KO punch but not be KOd.

Same with Derrick Lewis nowadays. He turtles up worse than Brock.

Indeed, most pro fighters at that level are put through the ringer for many, many years and they react to getting hit more calmly. Brock Lesnar just jumped right into the deep end very early on in his fighting career so I think that has a lot to do with it.
