Dana donated 10k to Stevie Rays daughter

Excuse me for my ignornce but dont you have public health system in the UK?
Yes but ...
It is on a major downturn. Even so, not all surgery and all treatments are covered.
Think of it as a basic or mid level insurance.

We do but there is a large waiting list which could be causing problems which might be forcing them to go private.

Edit: and like @Hellowhosthat said, it might be a procedure which is not covered in the NHS.
My sister suffered for years with Endometriosis and the NHS was very poor in handling her case. Eventually it got to the point where the required surgery was not something that is performed by the NHS so she had to go to Romania for a private procedure which has thankfully fixed what was a debilitating illness for her.

Im glad your sister's problem was solved.

Here in Spain we used to have a pretty strong public health system that covered almost any disease except some very rare ones.
Many native doctors and nurses emigrated to the UK btw.
It has been progressively declining due to the crisis and certain liberal politics that try to favour private health by debilitating the public system

Typical, Dana has done it a few times, giving money away to help fighters like he gives away bonuses.

Damn, some names in that

One deed doesn't outweigh an entire career built on exploitations. Good for Stevie Ray, but there are plenty of schools named after awful humans.

Crazy people complain about what other people give.

I'm just glad this thread keeps raising the profile of the issue. Wee Ray, rather than Dana.

If i was a fighter i would donate 20K just to stick it to Dana.

Bro, if you were a fighter you probably wouldn't have 20k to donate after taxes, paying coaches, and medical fees.

10K is a lot and more than any of us donated.

But rich people do have odd standards for their donations at times.

Look at all the people knocking Dana's charity.

This is partly why a lot of rich people DGAF and don't donate.

People will find a reason to bash your charitable work.

If I give 1 dollar to a homeless person, people will say "they'll just buy beer. What a stupid thing to do." But I don't care if they buy beer because maybe it numbs their pain for a little while.

You can say Dana does this and that with his money at casinos and with hookers, but bet your asses he is donating more than all of sherdog combined. I can’t really talk shit about the guy for that, no matter his net worth a good deed is a good deed.

I am outraged by the donation
