He didn't seem to initiate any clinch work with Joshua as well for some reason. That was the only advantage he had in this fight.

LMAO most people don't ground and pound, but clinch first. Most MMA street fights I see them throw punches, perhaps holding as well, but nobody WANTS to go to the ground and fight there if they don't have to. Especially if Joshua and Ngannou had never met.

Everyone acts like the mma'er is just going to easily take down the boxer without ever getting hit or stuffed. We see guys like Ngannou and Gane with limited training rise to the top of the HW division. A boxer with 1 yr take down defense could come over and start scorching these guys. Hell we got guys like Izzy and Alex who came over from kicking box and easily becomes champ. To think boxers couldn't do the same is stupid and shows how insecure mma fangurls are.

Example: take 2 alcoholics that spend their time at the bar all day.


Drunk 1 plays pool, darts, cornhole and foosball all day and is really good at all four. (MMA)

Drunk 2 plays pool all day and is exceptionally talented at it. (Boxer)


When drunk 1 and drunk 2 play each other, drunk 2 easily wins 97 out of 100 games against drunk 1.

That doesn't mean drunk 1 should be embarrassed as he spends only a fraction of his training time perfecting his pool game because he has other areas to focus on.

If both guys entered a bar game Olympics event(MMA fight), drunk 1 would be the obvious favorite even if he lost the round of darts.

If only he stopped with the fury fight then MMA wouldn’t look as inferior. Casuals will have a hard time believing the heavyweight champ is the “baddest man on the planet” from now on. I understand it should've been expected for Francis to get outboxed against Joshua but to get absolutely humiliated and knocked out brutally within 2 rounds isn’t a good look for MMA and someone once considered the baddest man on the planet.

Have you seen the past MMA press conferences? MMA has been embarrassed way before. Also: A Boxing HW champ who took this fight seriously is supposed to have his way with an 0-1 boxer. Ngannou losing is no blemish on MMA. Reverse the roles and I guarantee you that Joshua does not leave round 1 conscious.
