Do Conor Roussey's fans realise the route of 'ole ole ole' comes from 'allah allah'?

True story. When a poet or a dancer would produce a particularly great performance in the desert, the crowd would catch the equivalent of the 'holy ghost' and start shouting 'allah allah allah'. It entered into the Spanish lexicon through centuries of Islamic rule in Southern Spain, Andalucia, or 'Al-andalus' Arabic for land of the vandals. I had to laugh when the crowd were shouting it in support of McGregor...

Maybe they were shouting it ironically because the Spanish were superior fighters to the Muslims and drove them out of Spain and stopped them from murdering more civilians.

(Or maybe your thread sucks).

Fucking Christ Almighty please someone link me to this shit so I can send it to my Conor supporting friends.

Even the expression "ojala" in Spanish comes form the Arabic "inshallah".

no it fucking doesnt lol

So the whole arena was chanting for khabib in one way or other
