Sure, vito was ruthless, but family always meant the most to vito and he was loved by his family. The final scene of 2 was a basic microcosm of mikes life, everyone leaves one by one until he is alone.

Agree. But he probably would have the need. Fredo was able to get turned because of the alienation from michael. Sure he was slow, but that is what was used to turn him.

Tough to say. He wouldnt kill the kids who killed bonaseras daughter, that wasnt justice. But this was an attempt on his life. For peace he made peace with tataglia , so he probably wouldnt have done it. He had a soft spot for fredo, it wasnt all black and white.
