Multiple deaths on The Wire got me. I'd name names but I don't want to spoil the show for any troglodytes who haven't seen it yet.
 
Recently this one got me for some reason.... the tribute was way too long for this type of movie....

Yeah I think that made it work but I think that was accidental on their part. I think they thought the prophecy bromance for a couple of episodes made him the perfect choice. Too many times in the rest of the show you knew key characters had too much plot armour to die in this scene.
