Gabriel "King" Rosado (23-11, 13 KOs) and Glen "Jersey Boy" Tapia (23-4, 15 KOs) are set to collide in a battle between two experienced middleweights in the 10-round main event of the October 19 edition of Golden Boy Boxing on ESPN at Park Theater at Monte Carlo Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. The ESPN 3 livestream of the undercard bouts begins at approximately 6:30 p.m. PT/9:30 p.m. ET. The ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes transmission will begin at 8:00 p.m. PT/11:00 p.m. ET.

Should be a fun fight. I think both are at or around each other's levels. I wouldn't be surprised if Rosado won simply because Tapia tends to fade after a couple rounds and doesn't really get the fight back. Dunno why.

Tapia is an enigma to me also. He got skills, just seems to mentally not be able to get over the hump

I think he was always going to be prone to that mental defeatism, but the Kirkland fight was all wrong for him. To me, that made painfully obvious to Tapia, some truths about himself he may not have recognized before, and now they just kind of hang about him like a cloud every time he fights.

Well said. The "truths about himself" line is something Teddy Atlas would say and i like it

Glen Tapia is not very good.

I never really understood the hype surrounding the guy. He fought no one before he fought Kirkland, got steamrolled and now has lost 3 in a row.

Is Rosado that really strange looking guy GGG buttraped a few years back?

winnable fight for tapia at plus money, maybe +200 or 250

tapia has problems with guys that have power that can find his glass and rosados probably not going to hurt glen and has to worry about his own glass skin

Sadly, he encountered a few other heavy punchers and it turns out he doesn't like them much.

He gave a nice showing in Creed, though. His 5th KO among the pros.

i understand the matchup

hope Glen doesnt take too much damage to the head though

Knowing Rosado, he will probably win this and somehow get a title shot and a role in the next Scorsese movie.

tapia should have been retired after what kirkland did to him..real talk
