GLORY 90: Endy Semeleer vs Anwar Ouled-Chaib

After a groundbreaking year, GLORY returns for its final event of 2023 on Saturday, December 23, with GLORY 90 taking place at the RTM Stage at the Rotterdam Ahoy in the Netherlands.

Endy Semeleer (35-1, 17 KO) will put his GLORY welterweight title on the line against ‘House of GLORY’ winner Anwar Ouled-Chaib (3-0) in the main event.

Semeleer is regarded as the best welterweight on the planet today and now faces a dangerous test in the shape of Ouled-Chaib, who beat top ten ranked GLORY fighter Robin Ciric on his way to win the hit reality TV show.

In the co-main event, local fan favourite Nabil Khachab (26-4-1, 4 KO) gets his opportunity to enter the GLORY Grand Prix as he goes up against Serbia’s Nikola Filipovic (11-2, 6 KO) in a qualifying fight.

The big Moroccan replaces the injured Nordine Mahieddine and now the winner of Khachab & Filipovic will punch his way into the historic eight-man one-night $500,000 heavyweight tournament set for March 2024.

Former welterweight champion Murthel Groenhart (70-26-3, 40 KO) returns for his 100th professional fight as he takes on Bulgarian prospect Teodor Hristov (15-3, 7 KO), who is fresh off an emphatic debut victory this past October.

Chile’s Ivan Galaz (58-10-1, 15 KO) and Morocco’s Iliass Hammouche (33-6, 7 KO) will finally square-off on December 23 after their bout was cancelled last month at GLORY COLLISION 6.

Number one ranked lightweight Enriko Kehl (52-15-2, 30 KO) will be aiming to undeniably book his spot as the next title challenger for the undisputed champion Tyjani Beztati. The German meets the dangerous Arman Hambaryan (58-8-2, 27 KO) from Armenia.

Rounding out the main card, Berjan Peposhi (28-4, 16 KO) welcomes exciting new signing Miguel Trindade (57-6, 24 KO) from Portugal into GLORY. Peposhi replaces Jan Kaffa who had to withdraw from the bout due to an injury. Cameroon’s Brice Kombou (18-3, 3 KO) clashes with Moroccan top-prospecf Mohamed Touchassie (15-1, 12 KO) in an electric fight to kick-off the main card.

The free GLORY 90 prelims will include a heavyweight slugfest between Turkey’s Cihad Kepenek (21-6, 15 KO) and Polish Michał Blawdziewicz (11-6-1, 5 KO).
Also a pair of female debutants will meet in the opening fight of the night as Enfusion champion from the Netherlands Nina van Dalum (13-6, 1 KO) squares off against Portuguese newly signed talent Debora Evora (27-9-1, 2 KO).

There’ve been some changes to the original fightcard:

Nordine Mahieddine is out of his qualifier-fight for the heavyweight Grand Prix against Nikola Filipovic, who’ll now face Nabil Khachab. The Moroccan was supposed to fight Michał Blawdziewicz, who’ll now take on Cihad Kepenek.

Jan Kaffa is out of his fight against former ONE Championship fighter Miguel Trindade. Albanian fan-favorite Berjan Peposhi will replace Kaffa to face the GLORY-debutant from Portugal.

Nice, I’ll try to get you some new pics bro, there’s a cool meet&great tomorrow right before the event:

Also, tomorrow I’ll 100% try to fullfill my longtime promise to @Snubnoze707
That ringcard girl pic is coming to Sherdog!

Really questionable way to build up a prospect....they already gave Touchassie a tough fight last time out but he asked for that one...

Next up is Anwar getting wasted...lol.

Ehhh, guess they aren't doing their own stream for US and gotta sign up for some "FITE" bullshit. Not doing it. Missing this one.

LOL my boy got feed to the wolves and it happened exactly how it should...that wolf ate well and often

I don't really understand this matchmaking. Semeleer destroyed a guy with three total professional fights. I understand building new contenders, but there was no building whatsoever here. I understand Ouled-Chahib won House of Glory, but if I'm missing any other backstory to this fight, someone please let me know.
