I've been all through central America. San Juan del sur is a pretty fun party town in Nicaragua. Grenada is pretty neat but kinda hot. Why not go a few places?

Panama City is over-rated. It's not that good to be honest. Nicaragua in general is an amazing country and super cheap. You can live extremely well there as a tourist on barely any money.

Panama City has a few historic areas as well as an entire historic district. I loved it there.

Panama coutryside is nice too. Stayed in a mountain village for a few days. The best time I had there was in Bocas Del Toro, Panama.
