GSP is nowhere near his athletic prime. that is 26-30. fighters can delay with technique but most are toast by 36. T can help delay after that but we know how that goes.

that said he is in the prime of his life. he should get married. have some kids and enjoy the fruits of his labor and the passive income that comes with it.
 
GSP is on his prime because he came back and beat a champion that didn't fight top contenders for his belt and that fought old bums like Silva and Henderson, yea ok.

Also didn't he get fucked up by Matt Serra? Lol.

GSP didn’t shut out Bisping. GSP lost a round to him. Didn’t seem like prime GSP to me.

28-35 is athletic prime for most. With that said a 34 year old man has a lot more going on in his life than a 24 year old man and that takes away from training.

All the champs except Holloway and Whittaker after over 30.
Stipe, DC, Woodley, Khabib, TJ and MM.

Edit - Khabib is 29. 30 in September.
 
Interesting theory...one question to consider is: could today’s GSP defeat the GSP from 10 years ago? I believe it would be a close fight...science may actually support your statement to some degree as well, here’s a couple links that state neuromuscular control increases for some up age of 55...and peak strength can be from age 35-40. Both important factors in MMA, however GSP does have significant wear and tear from many years of competition.

Woodley and GSP are the same age but T-wood appears much fresher at this point.
